  1. I love love love Arabic: Arabic poems, calligraphy, literature, books… All things Arabic
  2. I want to be a writer, a blogger, a teacher, a lawyer, a photographer, an Islamic scholar, an educator, a journalist, a politician, an activist and so many more (if it’s possible to be all that!)
  3. I love the British accent
  4. I’m a Taekwondo player
  5. I like wasting time watching Al Sisi’s, the Egyptian president’s, speeches and laughing at how stupid he sounds like.
  6. I love Ahmad Matar’s poetry.
  7. I like the concept that we are souls
  8. My favorite quote is what C.S. Lewis said: “You do not have a soul, you are a soul. You have a body.”
  9. Turkey and Palestine ❤
  10. I also love photography and books
  11. Aaand nope. I don’t think History is boring. It’s my favorite!
  12. I sleep-talk— about food, dragons.. you name it!
  13. I love tea (does that make me British?)
  14. Hmm, does that mean I should change the spelling of favorite to favourite…?
  15. Biking? Biking.
  16. When I cry, it’s usually because of all the innocent prisoners in Syria, Egypt and Palestine. Please do pray for them..

    I love tea and leave the U out of favorite. The tea still tastes good. The only exceptions–since I’m an American living in Britain–is when I write to some official-type person and don’t want to call attention to my spelling. Or my American-ness.

    I agree… as a Canadian, I feel you should go with favourite as well 🙂 And as a Canadian with British roots, I adore tea too!
